Inside a valve overhaul
We travel to your workshop or site with full machining capability and work strictly to safety procedures and applicable standards. A typical overhaul covers:
- Dismantle gearbox, actuator bracket and bonnet assembly
- Withdraw spindle together with the seat for inspection
- Inspect body seat and wedge / plug seat condition
- Restore seating faces by stelliting, lapping and blue-match contact check
- Portable on-site lapping of wedge / plug and body seats (both faces)
- Replace gland packing, gland collar and worn spares
- Apply anti-seize compound / molycot to the spindle
- Reassemble and confirm free opening / closing operation
- Hydro and seat testing as per API standards with documentation
